Dart Mining (ASX: DTM) has commenced a diamond drilling campaign targeting a maiden JORC Inferred Resource at the company’s Unicorn molybdenum copper silver project in Victoria.
The company considers the project to have potential as a primary molybdenum copper silver porphyry with this being the third drilling program at Unicorn.
Previous drilling at the project defined an extensive area of mineralisation including 436 metres at 0.05% molybdenum, that included multiple higher grade zones of up to 0.63% molybdenum and copper of 106 metres at 0.15%, and silver of 106 metres at 4.5 parts per million.
Dart said detailed analysis of drill core from earlier exploration programs confirmed that the geology and mineralisation of Unicorn has very similar characteristics to the giant Henderson and Climax primary molybdenum mines in Colorado, U.S.
