Significant nickel copper PGE has been identified in a wedge hole at the South Boulder Mines (ASX: STB) and Independence Group NL (ASX: IGO) JV at the Rosie Ni-Cu-PGE Prospect, located in the Duketon Greenstone Belt in Western Australia.
The wedge hole highlights included:
- 5.00m at 2.04% nickel, 0.61% copper, 0.06% cobalt and 1.09g/t 6PGE’s from 550.00m including;
- 3.83m at 2.48% nickel, 0.75% copper, 0.07% cobalt and 1.21g/t 6PGE’s from 551.17m and a higher grade interval of; and
- 1.20m at 4.73% nickel, 1.10% copper, 0.15% cobalt and 2.99/t 6PGE’s from 552.52m.
The wedge hole was drilled after two diamond holes were completed with results announced late last month.
A second wedge hole is now in progress, with the company aiming at confirming the overall continuity of significant mineralisation at Rosie.
Rosie is located just 2kms from the C2 prospects, located 120km north-north-west of Laverton, with mineralisation at both prospects considered to be open in most directions.
