Genetic Technologies (ASX:GTG, NASDAQ: GENE) has raised $257,500 through a share purchase plan to fund continuing commercialisation of its flagship breast cancer risk test BREVAGenplus.
Proceeds will also be used to facilitate the acceptance and growth of the test.
The company had received applications for 19,074,112 new shares priced at $0.0135 each.
In November, GTG received support from a new research study show that adding a panel of 77 single-nucleotide polymorphisms - identical to those used in BREVAGenplus - improved the predictive accuracy of four commonly used breast cancer risk assessment models.
