Comet Ridge intersects more productive coals in Queensland

Comet Ridge (ASX: COI) has encountered evidence of consistent productive coal intervals at its Mira coal seam gas field in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

The Mira-4 well, the second in a current eight well program, intersected intersected 8.7 metres of coal over four separate, closely spaced intervals in the Castor Pollux reservoir.

This is consistent with the 8.9 metres intersected by the earlier Mira-3 well.

Production casing has been run and cemented in the Mira 4 well and the well suspended as a future pilot production well. The well will be completed for production later this month, with tubing and a pump installed downhole.

Mira-4 is located about 13 kilometres southeast of the Mahalo pilot area and is about 250 kilometres west of Gladstone in central Queensland.

Comet Ridge has a 35% interest in ATP 337P Mahalo.
