Blaze International kicks off copper-gold drilling at Barkly

Blaze International (ASX:BLZ) has commenced drilling at the Bluebird deposit within its Barkly copper-gold project at Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.

Blaze will drill up to 12 diamond and reverse circulation holes for around 2,100 metres to follow up first pass drilling last quarter which peak results of 25 metres grading 1.9% copper from 62 metres including 2 metres at 16.5% copper and 20 metres at 8.17 grams per tonne gold, 0.61% copper and 0.22% bismuth from 157 metres including 4 metres at 37.9g/t gold, 0.66% copper and 0.8% bismuth.

Earlier this month, Blaze entered into a convertible note trust deed of up to $1.25 million to ensure that it is fully funded for exploration and drilling.

The company has the right to earn up to an 80% interest in the project from Meteoric Resources (ASX:MEI).

The Bluebird deposit at Barkly comprises a 1.6 kilometre-long gravity ridge and is directly comparable with many of the orebodies in the Tennant Creek mineral field.

This is positive as these deposits have historically produced very high copper and gold grades.
