Black Rock Mining (ASX:BKT) continues to have exploration success at its projects in Tanzania.
At the Mahenge project, all holes intersected significant intervals of graphitic gneiss with DD18 returning a 123 metre graphitic zone, indicating a true mineralised thickness >100 metres.
This was from Ulanzi central, and delivered the widest drill intercept to date at Ulanzi.
Exploration news flow will continue as an infill reverse circulation drilling program is continuing at Ulanzi, before the drilling program moves to the Bagamoyo in early December.
Bagamoyo has already revealed strike potential of 40-55 kilometres.
The early-stage fieldwork mapped a 3.5-kilometre by 700-metre zone of graphite mineralised footprint within the project’s Central lode as well as additional graphite mineralisation identified over 7 kilometres of strike at the Wami lode.
Rock chip samples have averaged 7.1% total graphitic carbon (TGC) at Central and mineralisation is open along strike for each target.
The highest assay result of 9.9% TGC was recorded in a composite chip sample taken across strike, over 20 metres of creek outcrop.

Metallurgical test work
The formal metallurgical program is underway on core samples from Epanko north and Ulanzi for the resource estimate.
Black Rock said that test Work is proceeding well with results expected in December.
A 500kg bulk sample of outcropping graphitic schist from Ulanzi north ridge has been received in Perth and prepared to make graphite concentrates for detailed analysis and marketing.
The bulk sample returned an average feed grade of 29% TGC.
The first concentrate batch tests have been completed, indicating relatively high purity from a simple flowsheet.
Processing will be optimised over the coming weeks to maximise flake size and purity of concentrate.
