Bisan Limited's (ASX: BSN) shares are in pre-open this morning, following the ASX granting the company a trading halt pending details in connection with a proposed investment.
Bisan recently outlined that it was evaluating a number of investment opportunities, which included an initial investment stage in Jernigan Commodities Limited.
Jernigan is an Australian public unlisted company focused on the provision of marketing services and financial solutions for producers and consumers of soft commodities.
Bisan is using the investment to leverage the demand for the provision of marketing and financial services to the Australian and global cotton industry.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 11th December 2013, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
