Chesser Resources (ASX: CHZ) has targeted high grade copper gold in a new exploration program at the company’s Karaayi Project in Turkey.
Karaayi sits adjacent to two Teck Resources (NYSE: TCK) and Fronteer Gold (AMEX: FRG) joint venture projects.
The drill program comprises 8 drill holes from 2,000 metres to begin later this month.
Rick Valenta, managing director, said “The targets we have defined on this prospect have the potential to return wide high grade gold intercepts of the type seen in nearby properties in the area.”
A previous owner drilled 28 holes at the site intersecting gold mineralisation.
Highlights include:
- 115.5 metres at 0.52 grams per tonne (g/t) gold; and
- 87.1 metres at 0.62g/t gold.
The company will target copper gold mineralisation at 42 drill sites that have been permitted.
