Central Asia Resources (ASX: CVR) expects first gold revenue from its Dalabai heap leaching operations in Kazakhstan to start in early October 2013.
The company is progressing of the operation and has secured access to a third party resin desorption facility.
First processing using the resin desorption facility is planned to commence on or around 16 September 2013 with first revenues expected in early October 2013.
Leaching of Pads 1 & 2 is underway and a 30 day crushing and agglomerating campaign is expected to begin today.
Securing access to this desorption facility has satisfied the second tranche milestones of the
US$1.5 million Gold Loan and the company has received the second tranche proceeds of US$200,000 taking total funds advanced to US$500,000.
The company has also appointed Peter Thompson as its chief executive officer.
Thompson has 26 years of experience in both exploration and mining. He was previously the chief executive officer of BCD Resources and general manager exploration of St Barbara Mines.
He has also held senior exploration roles with Jubilee Mines, Anaconda Nickel and Western Mining Corporation.
Thompson is responsible for the discovery of several nickel and gold deposits as well as possessing extensive mining and corporate development experience.
