Beacon Minerals (ASX:BCI) could soon have refractory ore from its Halleys East Project treated at Northern Star Resources' (ASX:NST) processing facility at Kanowna Belle in Western Australia after signing a letter of intent.
The ore purchase agreement would use the Kanowna Belle facility that is located in the Eastern Goldfields region and 18 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie.
Kanowna Belle can treat refractory and free milling ores, through the flotation circuit and associated concentrate roaster circuit, including carbon‐in‐leach gold recovery.
The agreement covers the processing of about 11,500 tonnes of refractory gold ore.
Crushing and sampling of this ore commenced this week.
All infrastructure and equipment has been removed from the Halleys East mining site.
The Company expects that milling campaign six will commence during the March 2016 quarter.
The campaigns helped Beacon to earn gross revenues of $2.9 million from sales for the six months to 31 December 2015 enabling repayment of debentures of $2 million.
Beacon is also known to be looking at pursuing mineral project opportunities in Australia.
