Buxton Resources' kicks of survey at Zanthus, 60kms along strike from Nova

Buxton Resources (ASX: BUX) is on the hunt for potential sulphide bodies in the highly prospective Fraser Range Nickel Province of Western Australia, and has now commenced a HeliVTEM survey at the Zanthus (E28/1959) Project.

Zanthus is located 60 kilometres from along strike from Sirius Resources’ (ASX: SIR) Nova nickel copper sulphide discovery

The survey will cover 145 square kilometres and will be flown at a 250 metre spacing using the VTEM max system.

Additional infill lines will be considered if conductors indicating potential sulphide bodies are encountered.

From 15 targets identified from the gravity survey, three have been designated as high priority targets and include.

The gravity survey was designed to identify areas of dense rock types that could represent composite mafic-ultramafic intrusive rocks favourable for nickel copper mineralisation of the Voisey’s Bay and Nova-Bollinger type.

Zanthus covers 367 square kilometres.
