Buxton Resources (ASX: BUX) will start a 3,000 metre reverse circulation drilling program at its Widowmaker nickel-copper project in the emerging Fraser Range Nickel Belt, Western Australia.
The initial Program of Works has been granted while the field crew and drilling contractor are ready to mobilise to site once ground conditions allow.
Ground electromagnetic surveys have identified eight moderate to highly conductive targets that could represent bedrock massive or disseminated sulphide bodies.
Two of these fall well within the conductivity range for massive or semi-massive sulphide mineralization and graphite while the remaining six may be caused by disseminated sulphide or other more conductive stratigraphy.
The Fraser Range is highly prospective for copper and nickel.
