Buxton Resources (ASX: BUX) is preparing an announcement on ground EM results from the company's Widowmaker nickel copper project, with the ASX today granting Buxton a trading halt - with its shares placed in pre-open.
Worth noting Widowmaker is around 30 kilometres north-east of Sirius Resources (ASX: SIR) recent Nova discovery in Western Australia.
Earlier in the month Buxton raised $2.3 million at $0.46 through a placement which included its major shareholder, NBH Group; a Hong Kong based resources fund; a private equity fund; and institutional and sophisticated clients of Mac Equity Partners Pty Ltd.
The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Thursday 21st March 2013.
