Buxton Resources finds graphite in Western Australia

Dual listed Buxton Resources (ASX: BUX; Frankurt: 3B4.F) has found graphite at surface while taking rock chip samples at Yalbra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia.

With a peak result of 34.0% total graphitic carbon (TGC), and average of 13.0% TGC, Buxton would be encouraged by the early stage results.

They would appear to indicate the graphite is widespread at surface from these sample results.

The rock chip results and recent HeliVTEM survey would tend to support the presence of a significant graphite system at Yalbra. The graphite mineralisation at Yalbra generally occurs in fine-grained form within schists.

Which has led Buxton to increase its tenement holding – from 37km2 to 473km2.
