Buxton Resources (ASX: BUX) has announced that field programs on the Dempster, Eelya Hill and Zanthus Projects in Western Australia will commence in April.
A key tenement at Dempster was granted at the end of March. This tenement covers the majority of a newly defined mafic-ultramafic rock suite considered prospective for nickel sulphide mineralisation.
The company said the mineral exploration program will involve the flying of an airborne electromagnetic survey (VTEM) which is scheduled to commence in mid- to late April.
At Eelya Hill a ground electromagnetic survey has been designed to evaluate the down-dip VMS potential of the Eelya South prospect.
Ron Smith, Managing Director, said this work was delayed due to wet weather but is now expected to be underway shortly after the Easter break.
Two tenement applications at Zanthus were recently granted and are considered prospective for gold mineralisation. Calcrete sampling to test selected targets will commence late in April.
