Brazilian Metals Group hits up to 18% copper at Laxia, Cypress

Brazilian Metals Group (ASX:BMG) has returned high-grade copper up to 18% in final assay results from maiden drilling at its Laxia prospect in Cyprus.

Brazilian completed 13 holes with each intersecting a 20 to 40 metre wide mineralised zone containing massive to semi-massive, stringer, vein and disseminated sulphides.

A notable assay of 2.25 metres at 4.15% copper, 0.21 grams per tonne gold, and 0.10 % cobalt from 153.05 metres was recorded, and included 0.45 metres at 18 % copper, 0.7 grams per tonne gold and 0.37% cobalt.

Drilling confirms the presence of high-grade copper-gold-cobalt sulphide mineralisation at the Laxia prospect, demonstrating high potential for the Black Pine project area, with previous high grade copper-nickel-gold-cobalt results from the nearby Pevkos prospect.

Importantly, BMG holds 100% of the most prospective ground in the Black Pine Project area currently under granted licence.

Work is continuing to locate large sulphide accumulations around known prospects and to identify new prospects.

Exploration work is also underway concentrating on VMS deposits within Brazilian licences, where several abandoned copper mines are being evaluated.
