Austin Engineering (ASX: ANG) has been awarded a four-year contract worth $7.3 million from Chilean state owned copper mining company Codelco.
Under the contract, Austin will carry out the maintenance and repair of dump truck bodies, buckets and ancillary mobile equipment at Codelco’s Gabriela Mistral mining operation.
The base contract is worth about $5 million in the first three years and $2.3 million in the fourth.
This could potentially be higher depending on the extent of repairs and maintenance undertaken.
Austin’s new Servigrut business will also supply equipment lifting and other services to Codelco.
The company has now secured contracts worth over US$30 million in Chile.
