The mergers and acquisitions are coming at a rush in 2011, with now Amadeus Energy (ASX: AMU) putting its hand up saying talks are being conducted.
The company said it had received an unsolicited, conditional proposal that may result in an offer being made for all the shares in the company.
The bidder is still in the dark due to confidentiality, along with the terms of the proposal.
Macquarie Capital are acting as advisers for Amadeus.
Amadeus core business is oil and gas production from exploration and producing leasehold interests across five US states, including Texas.
