A second phase reverse circulation drilling program at Alchemy Resources' (ASX: ALY) Central Bore prospect has intersected significant wide intervals of gold mineralisation.
Results include widths of up to 36 metres and grades of more than 7g/t gold.
From the first 18 holes, assays from 4m composite samples have returned significant gold intersections including:
- 36m at 1.23g/t gold (including 4m at 7.93g/t gold) in hole CBRC018
- 20m at 1.78g/t gold (including 4m at 7.34g/t gold) in CBRC020; and
- 6m at 5.42g/t gold in CBRC022.
Central Bore is within Alchemy's Magnus Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia, sitting adjacent to Sandfire Resources' (ASX: SFR) spectacular DeGrussa copper-gold discovery tenements.
Significant gold intersections have been re-sampled and assayed at 1m intervals to more accurately determine the define the gold mineralisation and will be reported when assay results are received.
A total of 33 reverse circulation (RC) holes at have been drilled at Central Bore since August 2010 and follow-up diamond and aircore drilling is planned for early 2011.
The phase one RC drilling program completed in September had results including 92m at 1.41g/t gold.
