ActivEX’s (ASX: AIV) recent drilling program has extended the gold-silver mineralised zone at its Barambah project in southeast Queensland by a further 75 metres to the south.
The peak result from the seven hole drilling program is 4 metres at 2.92 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1,053g/t silver from a 25 metre zone of mineralised breccia/veining about 50 metres below surface.
ActivEX added the breccia vein appears open further to the south, where the vein appears to start rolling over from a steeply east dipping system to a steep west dip.
The company plans to carry out more drilling on the southerly plunging shoot based on the new interpretation of the vein system.
Barambah is a joint venture (ActivEX 75%) with Norton Gold Fields (ASX: NGF) holding 25%, located northwest of Gympie.
