Rubianna Resources (ASX:RRE) has intercepted high grade gold at its Ruby Well project in Western Australia including up to 4 metres at 12.9 grams per tonne from 66 metres at its Ruby Anna East deposit.
The intercepts were made following 36 reverse circulation drill hole program for 3,283 metres from the Bloodstone, Ruby Anna East and Little Jim prospects.
At Bloodstone, the infill drilling has produced results consistent with previous drilling with the best result of 4 metres at 16.4 g/t gold from 32 metres.
The improved drilling density and data quality along with revised intercepts from the QA/QC program, should now enable Rubianna to revise and upgrade the existing resource from inferred to indicated status.
The down dip and steep plunge component remains open with the best intersection within the mineralised quartz vein being 2 metres at 11 g/t Au from 146 metres.
At Little Jim, the first pass, broad spaced “greenfield” drilling has identified a mineralised trend that are yet to be duplicate sampled to assess the prospect for the known “nuggetty” gold that has been observed from rock chip sampling.
