Rubianna Resources identifies multiple copper anomalies at North Ruby Well

Rubianna Resources (ASX: RRE) has identified multiple anomalous copper horizons from geochemical sampling at its potentially company making North Ruby Well Project, within the Murchison tenements in Western Australia.

Rubianna’s managing director, Steve Batty would be extremely encouraged by these results that identify multiple copper horizons.

The aircore drilling program of 141 holes totalling 6714 metres to define copper gold anomalies identified seven potential targets that are likely to be the focus of the next stage of drilling.

These anomalies occur within the volcanic units of the Narracoota Formation, with the response consistent with a Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide mineralised system.

Rubianna will carry out ground geophysics to assist in planning the next stage of drilling.

Within Target Area 1, 2 targets of up to 592 parts per billion gold and 200 parts per million copper anomalism were defined from the infill sampling. The eastern targets covers an area of about 700 metres by 200 metres while the western targets covers a400 metre by 200 metres area.

Over in Target Area 2, the drilling defined four northwest to southeast trending horizons with consistently anomalous results of more than 300 parts per million copper.

These four horizons are cut by a series of northeast to southwest trending faults to define zones A-C.

A broad 2 kilometre by 0.8 kilometres zone of coincident 10 parts per billion gold and 100 parts per million copper anomalism was defined in Target Areas 2 and 3.

Drilling here also identified a discrete bedrock source and verified a gold enriched lateritic horizon identified from historic drilling.

Rotary air blast and aircore drilling has previously been used at North Ruby Well to sample the cover and bedrock interface below about 20 to 30 metres of cover.
