Rubianna Resources (ASX: RRE) has returned high grade gold from the Ruby Anna East and Trafalgar prospects, within the company’s Murchison tenements in Western Australia.
Highlights from the drilling program include:
- 4 metres at 36 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including 2 metres at 69.3g/t gold;
- 2 metres at 6.4g/t gold, including 1 metre at 12g/t gold; and
- 2 metres at 4.6g/t gold, including 1 metre at 8.5g/t gold.
Ruby Anna and Trafalgar are located within 500 metres along strike of Rubianna’s Bloodstone prospect, indicating potential for continuity between the three prospects.
Results from drilling at all three prospects so far have been interpreted as showing an anomalous east-west trend with grades of above 0.1g/t gold stretching along 700 metres of strike.
A program of infill and extensional drilling has been undertaken at Bloodstone, with results expected within a week.
The next phase of reverse circulation drilling at Ruby Anna East is planned for the September quarter of 2012.
North Ruby Well drilling program
At the North Ruby Well copper gold project, also part of the Murchison tenements, Rubianna has completed an infill interface geochemical sampling program.
The program was aimed at defining anomalies within four target areas, which occur within the volvanic units of the Narracoota Formation and have indications of a volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralised system.
Results from this program are expected by the end of June.
