Rubianna Resources (ASX: RRE) has started a program of infill geochemical soil sampling on copper and gold anomalies at the Killara Project, with the aim of prioritising a series of drill targets.
Killara is part of Rubianna’s Murchison tenements, which are located in Western Australia’s highly prospective Peak Hill mining district.
This program is focused on refining a number of broad soil anomalies in order to focus future exploration activities in the area.
Targets generated from this program will be followed up with ground geophysics prior to the generation and ranking of drill targets.
An initial soil program identified four areas with coincident copper gold soil anomalies over more than 4 kilometre strike, which returned greater than 100 parts per million (ppm) copper and 10 parts per billion (ppb) gold.
The program also turned up eight large copper anomalies with more than 100ppm copper at strike lengths of 1 to 2 kilometres.
Infill sampling is expected to be completed by mid-April, with assays available by the end of April.
