Rubianna Resources identifies potential new high grade gold zones at Bloodstone

Rubianna Resources (ASX: RRE) has potentially identified two new high grade gold shoots at the Bloodstone Project within the company’s Murchison tenements in Western Australia.

A recent reverse circulation drilling program at Bloodstone returned multiple high grade gold intersections that could define high grade gold shoots within a broader, low grade halo.

The next drill program will focus on testing the continuity of the system to the west, where it remains open, and look for repetitions at depth.

Highlights from the drilling program include:

- 5 metres at 21.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including 1 metre at 108g/t gold;

- 4 metres at 10.9g/t gold, including 1 metre at 43g/t gold; and

- 5 metres at 4.2g/t gold, including 1 metre at 19.1g/t gold.

These results will improve Rubianna’s future targeting, with the next phase of exploration work at Bloodstone to be carried out in the June quarter of 2012.

This exploration program makes up half of the Exploration Incentive Program grant awarded to Rubianna by the Western Australian government in 2011.
