Walkabout Resources (ASX: WKT) is raising up to $2 million to fund exploration activities at Kigoma copper, Lindi coal and Makete platinum group elements projects in Tanzania.
The funds will be raised through a Share Purchase Plan offering shareholders up to 202 million shares priced at $0.01 per share.
Kigoma is characterised by robust and advanced artisanal mining of oxide copper across a wide area while good quality thermal coal has recently been discovered on an adjoining tenement to Lindi.
The company is also reviewing data at Makete where previous previous drilling has intersected high grade and wide platinum, palladium and gold intercepts of up to 17.6 metres at 4.9 grams per tonne platinum, palladium and gold.
