Progen Pharmaceuticals (ASX:PGL) shares are in pre-open this morning, following the ASX granting the company a trading halt.
Progen requested the halt pending the outcome of its General Meeting of shareholders.
Shareholders are voting on the acquisition of TBG Inc, and if this is approved, the company would be required to re-comply with Chapters 1 and 2 of the ASX Listing Rules.
TBG is a biotechnology company focused on the global molecular diagnostics industry.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 9th December 2015, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
