Talga Gold (ASX: TLG) is eagerly anticipating the results from the recently completed a 35-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling exploration program at the McPhees and Quartzite gold targets within its 100% owned Talga Talga gold project.
The drilling was undertaken to step out test the McPhees gold prospect to follow up the significant near surface mineralisation discovered by the company in 2010 including 1 metre at 73.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1 metre at 66.9 g/t gold.
The main gold vein at McPhees was tested along strike and at depth from the limits of previous drilling programs, over about 650 metres strike and to maximum down-dip depth of 250 metres.
Additional reconnaissance holes were completed 1400 metres northeast along strike in the Quartzite prospect area.
Combined with recent drilling of the Kiwi Ridge gold prospect on the Warrawoona project just south of Talga Talga, the results from a total of 51 drill holes are pending.
The Talga Talga gold project is located east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
