SML Corporation (ASX:SOP) is continuing diamond drilling commenced in October at its Mount Wills gold project to test an unexplored area between the Glen Wills and Sunnyside goldfields in Eastern Victoria.
The first hole was drilled to 588 metres and intersected several narrow quartz veinlets containing variable amounts of arsenopyrite and pyrite.
Whilst of a low-grade nature, the findings add strength to SML's theory that gold bearing zones exist between and link the Glen Wills and Sunnyside goldfields.
In addition, ongoing field reconnaissance in has identified a number of historic workings not previously known, with rock chip assays up to 26.1 grams per tonne gold and 31.6 grams per tonne silver.
Drilling remains underway with results to be released as they become available.
