Skyfii gains retail shopping mall traction with guest Wifi

Data services company, Skyfii (ASX:SKF) will add to its shopping centre pipeline after winning a contract with Lederer Group’s Imperial Centre retail mall in Gosford for guest WiFi and data analytics services that involves monthly recurring revenues.

This could be rolled out to a further five venues under the Lederer Group.

This is hot on the heels of a three year extension to a WiFi contract inked with World Square® Shopping Centre that will generate increased recurring subscription revenues for Skyfii over the 36 month term.

Recently, the company inked an agreement to provide its analytics and guest WiFi services to Saga’s Varzea Grande Shopping Centre in Brazil on a 5-year term, through reseller Liveconsult, with monthly Analytics fees payable to Skyfii.

This could be extended to another seven large shopping malls in Brazil adding a further 4.5% market share to Skyfii’s total penetration in this primary target market in Brazil of large retail malls.

The Saga Group contract is the second contract win for Skyfii in the Brazil market in just 12 months, following its agreement earlier this year with Iguatemi, the premier mall operator in Brazil which owns 17 large retail malls or 9% of the total retail mall market in Brazil.

Full roll-out across the Saga Group would see Skyfii’s advanced stage pipeline in Brazil reach 82 malls representing 44% of the retail mall market in Brazil.

Skyfii builds, manages and monetise free public WiFi by creating an engaging content channel for advertisers and by analysing customer data to assist retailers to make smarter business decisions.

Bullishly, the company has over $40 million in revenue opportunities currently identified in the advanced stage sales pipeline.

As it is closing convert more than 90% of pilots to full contracts, the build, manage and monetise free public WiFi model to assist retailers by analysing customer data is clearly gaining traction.
