Conico Limited’s (ASX: CNJ) moving loop electromagnetic survey has defined a number of priority conductors at its Mt Thirsty cobalt-nickel-manganese oxide project near Norseman, Western Australia.
Three of the conductors have the potential for nickel sulphides and have been recommended by the consultant for drill testing.
The area tested is the strike extension of the sequence hosting the Mt Thirsty nickel sulphide prospect that that has previously returned a number of strong but isolated nickel sulphide intersections up to 6 metres down hole at 3.5% nickel and 2 metres at 5.9% nickel.
Drill testing of the highest priority conductors is planned in the near term.
Conico has a 50% interest in Mt Thirsty, which is located about 20 kilometres northwest of Norseman near ain road, rail and pipeline infrastructure.
The project has an Indicated Resource of 16.6 million tonnes at 0.14% cobalt, 0.60% nickel and 0.98% manganese and an Inferred Resource of 15.3 million tonnes at 0.11% cobalt, 0.51% nickel and 0.73% manganese.
