Rumble Resources (ASX: RTR) has identified an electromagnetic conductor that is prospective for massive nickel sulphides in Western Australia’s Fraser Range.
The company has also been awarded up to $150,000 in co-funding from Western Australia’s Exploration Incentive Scheme to drill test the Fraser Range rtarges
The moving-loop electromagnetic survey on E28/2268 was carried out on target areas recently identified through reprocessing ground gravity data and 3D inversion modelling of detailed airborne magnetics.
Preliminary processing of the data had identified the bedrock conductor with moderate conductance levels and a depth extent of around 250 metres to the top of body. It is currently 2 kilometres long with 75$ of the ground survey now completed.
The conductor appears to be parallel to the local geology with the conductance levels increasing and becoming shallower as the EM survey continues moving towards the north.
Rumble will complete detailed modelling once all the data is received with further information in the New Year.
The Fraser Range Project has the same intrusive rock units which are of similar age to the host rock units to the Nova and Bollinger nickel-copper deposits.
Previous exploration at Rumble's project area was carried out by Teck Australia between 2007 and 2010 and included two gravity surveys.
