Rumble Resources identifies 'high copper anomalism' near Kalgoorlie

Rumble Resources (ASX: RTR) has discovered a peak anomalism of 3,080ppm copper from a first pass auger geochemistry program at the Canegrass project, which is located 80 kilometres north-west of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

Two areas were identified with coincident copper-zinc anomalism, along with an area hosting widespread low levels of gold anomalism.

Adding to the prospectivity of the area, there was also elevated nickel and chrome values which confirmed the company's interpretation that the ultramafic sequence hosting nickel to the south extends into the project area over a strike length of at least 11 kilometres, and it is also this mafic-ultramafic contact where gold is occurring to the south.

The next steps for Rumble in follow-up exploration will include field checking of soil anomalies and geological mapping of selected areas, along with infill soil sampling which will help to better define areas of anomalism and step out along strike, and potentially ground / airborne EM to test if areas of anomalism are also conductive.

The project consists of one granted exploration licence E29/783 (Rumble 90%) and one exploration licence application E29/864 (Rumble 100%) covering a combined area of 300 square kilometres.

Exploration program

The program was the first exploration undertaken by Rumble, with little previous exploration recorded at the project.

Auger geochemistry was completed along 23 separate east-west sample lines with lines either 800 metres or 400 metres apart, and covered around a third of the granted exploration licence area.
