GR Engineering Services wins A$30M contract for construction of gold processing plant

Mining contractor GR Engineering Services (ASX: GNG) has been awarded a $30.3 million engineering, procurement and construction contract from Doray Minerals (ASX: DRM) for the Andy Well Gold Project processing plant in Western Australia.

GR had been appointed the preferred contractor in July last year after working with Doray on the bankable feasibility study for the project.

Mining of the Stage 1 open pit at Andy Well, located in the northern Murchison region, has already begun.

Progress has also been made in completing initial site works for processing and other mine site infrastructure, with commissioning of the processing plant expected to start from mid 2013.
