Range Resources appoints Ian Olson as non-executive director

Range Resources (ASX:RRS, AIM:RRL) as appointed Ian Olson as a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.

Olson has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, audit and assurance across a broad range of industries including energy.

He is a non-executive Chairman of Diploma Group (ASX:DGX) and Gage Roads Brewing (ASX:GRB) as well as a consultant to KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisition practice in Australia

Olson was also previously managing partner of PKF Chartered Accountants in Perth, Western Australia, and had spent numerous years working with global investment banks in London and New York.

Range had produced oil at an average rate of 529 barrels of oil per day during the June 2014 quarter from its Trinidad operations.

It also has a 24% direct and indirect interest in the Atzam oil field in Guatemala where operator Latin American Resources is currently evaluating acid wash and stimulation of the most prospective C18 carbonate reservoirs at Atzam-5 well.

It had $6.47 million in cash as of 30 June 2014.
