Review of the Proactive Investors top five Rippers and Dippers, the top five most actively traded stocks and the top five by market trades for Tuesday 14 June, for shares above two cents with sufficient trades.
The All Ordinaries fought back from an early sell off to close the day 14 points higher at 4649, as buyers re-entered the market after the announcement of some data from China.
Most sectors performed well, highlighted by 34 of the top 50 stocks by market capitalisation finishing the day in the green, with only 12 in the red and four unchanged.
On the day the best Rippers, or biggest percentage gainers, were headed by a fairly thinly traded XTEK (ASX: XTE) with a 64% spike, with the company not making any announcements to the market.
The other biggest percentage gainers included DKN Financial Group (ASX: DKN) 31%, Castle Minerals (ASX: CDT) 28%, Realm Resources (ASX: RRP) 27% and Norseman Gold (ASX: NGX) 20%.
The Dippers, or biggest percentage fallers, were actually surprisingly subdued, with no major stinkers worth reporting.
Topping the most actively traded stock was Focus Minerals (ASX: FML) with 104 million shares changing hands, with Lynas Corporation (ASX: LYC) 58 million, Telstra (ASX: TLS) 52 million, Sundance Resources (ASX: SDL) 33 million and Goodman Group (ASX: GMG) 26 million.
The big banks and miners controlled the most traded stocks, with BHP Billiton (ASX: BHP) having 20,600 trades, with National Australia Bank (ASX: NAB) 17,200, Commonwealth Bank (ASX: CBA) 12,600, Rio Tinto (ASX: RIO) 12,000 and ANZ Bank (ASX: ANZ) 11,600.
