Clinical stage oncology company Prescient Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:PTX) is heading to market with a capital raising, and the ASX has granted a trading halt to prepare.
Prescient is developing novel compounds that show promise as potential new therapies to treat a range of cancers that have become resistant to front line chemotherapy.
The company's lead drug candidate PTX-200 inhibits an important tumor survival pathway known as Akt, which plays a key role in the development of many cancers, including breast and ovarian cancer, as well as leukemia.
The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 18th May 2016, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
