Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS) has started drilling at the Tabba Tabba Tantalum Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region after raising $750,000 through a share placement.
The diamond drilling program represents the first phase of work required under its joint venture with Nagrom to develop a boutique open cut mining and processing operation.
It will assist in upgrading the Inferred Resource to the Indicated category
Tabba Tabba, owned by world-leading global tantalum producer Global Advanced Metals, has an Inferred Resource of 575,000 pounds of TA2O5 and a partially completed processing facility that is just 75 kilometres by road from Port Hedland.
The company had raised the funds through a placement of 75 million shares priced at $0.01 each to sophisticated investors.
Its directors and management applied for 30% of this placement.
