Nagambie Mining (ASX: NAG) has extended the gold mineralisation trend at its Wandean prospect in Victoria to around 1,050 metres in length following a second pass soil sampling program.
Three north-south lines were soil sampled to the east of the trend indicated by the first-pass soil sampling.
The first line to the east had two highly anomalous gold-arsenic-antimony results on trend while the two most easterly lines had no highly anomalous results, suggesting that the gold mineralisation weakens to the immediate east.
Nagambie is currently carrying out third-pass infill soil testing on four north-south lines to refine the shape of the gold mineralisation trend to enable the best possible planning for the next reverse circulation drilling program.
The Wandean and Grimwade Thrusts are interpreted to extend westwards of the bedrock gold mineralisation discovered at Wandean, leading the company to apply for a new exploration licence to west and southwest of Wandean.
Nagambie holds over 500 square kilometres of exploration tenements in central Victoria, encompassing the historic goldfields at Nagambie, Redcastle and Rushworth.
