Hot Chili’s (ASX: HCH) drilling at the Productora Copper Project in Chile has returned further wide copper results including 102 metres at 1% copper and 0.2 grams per tonne gold.
This comes as the company prepares to deliver a major Resource upgrade in the late second half of 2013 from growth of in-pit, high-grade resources.
Importantly, this result lies within a newly discovered zone along the eastern flank of the planned central pit development at Productora - an area previously treated as waste in the Productora scoping study.
It also extends the newly discovered high-grade zone to over 80 metres in strike length.
Other notable results include 149 metres at 0.7% copper, 0.2g/t gold and 259ppm molybdenum from 126 metres including 51 metres at 1% copper, 0.2g/t gold and 381ppm molybdenum and 72 metres at 0.7% copper and 36ppm molybdenum from 96 metres.
The company’s 100,000 metre drilling program has delivered strong results from key extensional areas at Productora.
Results from drilling so far have indicated new zones of higher grade copper-gold mineralisation along the immediate eastern margin of the existing resource.
First pass drilling at on the most eastern extent of the eastern flank of Productora has also returned results including 17 metres at 1% copper and 0.2g/t gold from surface.
