IMX Resources (ASX: IXR) has the potential for very high nickel recoveries, estimated up to 88%, at the Nachingwea project joint venture in Tanzania.
Assessments from the Sleeping Giant nickel-copper prospect show that high grade nickel recovery can be completed using conventional flotation concentration mineral processing.
These recovery levels compare favourably with some of the best mining and milling operations in the industry.
The company said a metallurgical testing program on representative samples will be required to confirm the recoveries, as well as likely concentrate grades.
Nachingwea is a joint venture between IMX Resources (25%) and Continental Nickel (CVE: CNI) (75%).
