Leopard Resources grows gold resource in the Yandal greenstone belt, WA

Leopard Resources' (ASX: LRR) recently wrapped up a drilling program at its wholly-owned Mission and Cables Prospects in Western Australia, which has delivered the company an increased resource.

The Inferred Resources gained 69% to 1.5 million tonnes at 3.8 grams per tonne gold for 185,453 ounces, which includes significant drill intersections of both primary and supergene gold mineralisation.

The next steps for Leopard Resources include a Stage 2 drilling program of up to 3000 metres targeting an increase to the exploration target, which is currently 3 to 4 million tonnes at 2.5 to 3 g/t gold for between 190,000 and 380,000 gold ounces.

Mission Cables lies 7 kilometres north of the 3 million ounce Darlot Centenary Gold Mine, newly acquired by Gold Fields (NYSE: GFI)
