FirstWave Cloud Technology Ltd (ASX:FCT) has integrated a new cloud security service provided by Cisco System Inc (NASDAQ:CSCO) into its cloud security platform for Telstra customers.
The new platform incorporates Cisco’s Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) cloud-based solution into FirstWave’s cloud security gateway infrastructure for Telstra’s enterprise and government customers.
Cisco has been a long term partner of FirstWave and integration of the Cisco AMP into its telco platform delivers another revenue stream to FirstWave.
FirstWave is already generating revenue from the service, with two blue chip Australian companies - a logistics company with 14,000 employees and a retail chain with 4,000 employees, implementing the service.
Significantly, FirstWave booked $2.4 million worth of new contracts last month, secured from 15 enterprise and government customers.
The company has a pipeline of an additional 40 tenders with enterprise and government customers to integrate onto its cloud security platform.
Crestal Petroleum Ltd changed in its name to FirstWave Cloud Technology Ltd and relisted on the ASX in May 2016 after a reverse takeover deal with FirstWave shareholders.
The company ended the June quarter with $5.9 million in cash.
