Estrella Resources (ASX: ESR) has commenced diamond drilling at its Colupo copper prospect in Chile.
The diamond drilling will target structural orientation of mineralisation identified in the recently completed reverse circulation campaign, and is a critical step in initial JORC resource definition at Colupo.
High copper grades were intersected during reverse circulation drilling, confirming that the mineralised breccias begin as surface outcropping and extend to at least 220 metres depth over a 120 metre strike length.
The current program is expected to complete in around 8 weeks, with new holes oriented on 60 to 80 degree angles and drilled to depths between 150 and 250 metres.
