Estrella Resources (ASX: ESR) has received assays for the final five reverse circulation drill holes at its Colupo copper prospect in Chile.
High copper grades were intersected including 8 metres at 1.1% copper from 126 metres, with 3 metres at 2.5% copper, 0.15 grams per tonne gold and 20.3 grams per tonne silver from 102 metres.
Estrella’s first four holes confirmed that the mineralised breccias begin as surface outcropping and extend to at least 220 metres, and likewise four of the new holes have continued to intersect mineralised breccias from surface.
High grade copper was again intersected beneath known mineralised breccia, doubling the previous known depth in the eastern zone to 120 metres, and confirmed the northeast extension zone to over 120 metres strike length.
Estrella’s future exploration at Colupo will now focus on observed breccias rather than geophysical anomalies, and diamond drilling is slated to commence later this month.
