Eldore Mining Corporation (ASX: EDM) with a 50% share spike to $0.018 in intra-day trading today, from a close of $0.012 yesterday, has prompted a price query from the ASX.
Eldore said it was not aware of any material information that had not been released to the market which may have prompted the sudden investor interest.
The company did however state in a response to the ASX:
'... other than information previously released to the market on 16 December 2010 titled “Exploration Update” wherein the company’s farm-in partner, Predictive Discovery (ASX: PDI), advised, amongst other things, that results from the first RC drill program were expected in late January or early February.
'Results have not yet been received.'
Predictive Discovery only just listed on the ASX in December 2010, with an extensive 1544 square kilometre gold exploration land holding in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Eldore shares last traded at $0.015.
