Carbine Tungsten gains nod for tungsten processing facility for Mt Carbine, Queensland

Carbine Tungsten (ASX: CNQ) has received final approvals for a plan of operations detailing a tungsten stockpile processing facility at its Hard Rock project in Queensland.

The approvals include processing capacity of up to 3 million tonnes per annum at Mt Carbine, a new hard rock processing facility, and the extraction of ore from 12 million tonnes of stockpiled tungsten material.

The approvals were granted by the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, completing the final permit required to commence construction.

In addition to the current tailings reclamation facility, these approvals allow Carbine to significantly increase production capacity and advance their objective of becoming a major tungsten supplier.

Given global tungsten supply shortages, and growing tension around traditional Asian supply sources, Mt Carbine is well positioned with a ready supply of tungsten concentrates from a large scale mine.
