Bulletin Resources (ASX: BNR) has identified further near surface gold mineralisation at the Nicholson’s Gold Project near Halls Creek in Western Australia.

A recently completed 4,854 metre reverse circulation and air core drilling campaign targeted depth extensions to the defined resource and shallower mineralisation along the host structure.

The project has a combined open pit and underground Mineral Resource of 1.38 million tonnes at 5.58 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for a total of 248,500 ounces.

Near surface mineralisation was intercepted at Wagtail South, with significant results including:

- 7 metres at 6.1g/t gold from 36 metres, including 1 metre at 29g/t gold from 37 metres;
- 3 metres at 13.1g/t gold from 37 metres; and
- 2 metres at 22g/t gold from 6 metres.

This was Bulletin’s first drilling program completed at Wagtail South.

Meanwhile, one deep reverse circulation drill hole targeting the down plunge extension of the South Lode returned further mineralisation, intercepting 7 metres at 4g/t gold from 221 metres, including 2 metres at 7.8g/t gold.

A previous assay from South Lode returned 2 metres at 20.5g/t gold from 287 metres, confirming the potential for a new lode forming at depth in the foot wall at Nicolson’s.

An additional deep reverse circulation hole down-plunge of the North Lode appeared to intersect the upper margin of the lode structure, with the possibility of a steepening of the lode plunge.

This hole intercepted 1 metre at 1g/t gold.

Further shallow air core drilling to the north of Rowdies and between Rowdies and Wagtail North returned narrow zones of mineralisation at grades of 1-2g/t gold.

More assays from the drilling program are expected over coming weeks, with Bulletin aiming to advance the project to the stage of decision to mine.
