Attila Resources (ASX: AYA) is in pre-open this morning after the ASX granted the company a trading halt pending an announcement regarding the completion of the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) at the Kodiak coking coal project in Alabama, U.S.
The PFS is based on the recently upgraded Measured JORC Resource of 71.6 million tonnes and the Indicated JORC Resource of 4.8 million tonnes.
A plus for Attila is that final testing recently indicated extremely low ash, low sulphur, hard coking coal with superior fluidity.
The resources have the potential to underpin a long life hard coking coal operation.
The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Wednesday 7th August 2013.
