Aruma Resources (ASX: AAJ) has targeted an early May start date for drilling at the company’s Laverton East Gold Project in Western Australia after receiving approval of the Programme of Work (PoW).
The Laverton East Project is located 20km east of Laverton. The approval will enable drilling of some 500 auger holes over the leases on a 100m by 100m grid.
The drill program targets hard pan surface material from the highly anomalous rock chip anomalism seen in the central portion of the leases, separate from anomalism discovered in the historical drilling on the western regions of the leases.
Previous exploration of the area includes relatively shallow RAB drilling over much of the tenement and reconnaissance rock chip sampling returned several gold assays of greater than 0.2 g/t.
An EL over 80 km2 has been applied for to the north of the current leases at Paul Well in the prospective stratigraphy.
Laverton East covers 9.2 square kilometres on five granted prospecting licenses.
